Success. It’s got enemies.

Success. It’s got enemies. You can be successful and have enemies or you can be unsuccessful and have friends.

If you are going to be successful, you will have to get attention and when you get the right amount of attention, you will have to learn how to handle the naysayers.

With the prevalence of social media, there is no shortage of people who will anonymously sling their hate, opinions and advice your way. Remember this rule: “Money and success follow attention and the right amount of attention comes with haters and naysayers.”

If you want success, you better learn how to attract attention and love your haters because without them, you won’t make it.

Here are five things to remember about critics, naysayers and haters:

1. All naysayers are quitters.

2. Critics and naysayers are spectators.

3. Never get emotional.

4. Never fear the hater; fear those who listen.

5. Never waste a hater.

And, always remember this. Memorize it. Engrain it part of your DNA.

“Success. It’s got enemies. You can be successful and have enemies or you can be unsuccessful and have friends.”

It’s lonely on top for a reason. Enjoy the silence.

Sorry, but your “success” in adtech is not impressive or admirable. I could not care less about RadiumOne or whatever other stupid ad tech service you’re working on. Some of us measure success in ways other than bank accounts.

Success is measured differently for each individual – that is what I like about it. Success is achievable in anything whether in adtech or in flute making. Success is a measuring stick of dedication and perseverance. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on naysayers and critics. I have found the same to be true. Most of them are envious of the life they watch on the sidelines rather than take the risk to live it.
