Dream. Create. Lead. Execute.

Dream. Create. Lead. Execute.

Excelling at work is the key recipe for success. You must always strive to be the best you can be.
The following may seem obvious, but understanding these ideas can help you go far in your career. Don’t ever treat your job as just a job; always think of it as a career. Embrace it. Once you implement these simple ideas, your attitude, and performance will outshine everything and everyone else.
Have a Vision.
When you’re appointed a role, it’s on you. You own that role. You’re essentially the “CEO” of that role. Have a vision, create your goals, and find a way to execute.
Completing those incremental goals, and creating milestones is the best reminder of your success and why you strive to perform. Both long-term, and short-term incentives will keep you ambitious, committed, and disciplined.
Make a goal, stick to it, day after day – obedience after obedience.
Work for a Career.
Textbooks call it a job. But, have your mindset focused on a career. What you’re doing now will only help you achieve your 5 year goal.
Go above and beyond your duties. Take risks. You should never perform at anything less than 110%. Time is the only commodity that depreciates in value, each day.
Work for What You’re Worth.
If you say, “I don’t think my pay is worth the amount of time I’m putting in,” you’re wrong. In fact, you’ll never get anywhere with that mindset. You’ve got to be a rock star. You’ve got to perform like one.
If you’re not where you feel you should be, then you must do whatever it takes. Nothing ever good in life is ever handed to you, you have to earn it.
Ask.
If you don’t know something, ask. It’s as simple as that.
Seek Improvement, Not Approval.
I always tell people “Don’t ask for permission, ask for forgiveness.” If you think your actions will add some sort of value, do it. Deal with the consequences later.
Recap.
At the end of the day, week, or month, ask yourself questions. What have you completed? Did you accomplish your goals? Did you perform to your highest level?
Acknowledge what you’ve completed, and how you did something different. Seek to improve for the coming week. If you didn’t complete something on time, find out why, and act upon improving that.
Most people take their greatness; take their ideas to the graveyard with them. That’s why the wealthiest place on the planet, is the graveyard. Because in the graveyard we will find inventions that we never ever were exposed to. Ideas, dreams, that never became reality. Hopes and aspirations that were never acted upon.
The question is what are you going to do with your time?
Dream. Create. Lead. Execute.
