Embrace the Naysayers

Embrace the Naysayers

On your path, wherever that may lead you, you will encounter skeptics. Doubters can be brutal. You have two options with them, you can either ignore them, or you can embrace them. Choose to embrace them.
Why embrace the voice of your critics? They may infuriate you. They may irritate you to the point where you cannot sit still. They may interrupt your sleep sometimes at 3 or 4 o’clock in the morning.
Because, they make you think. They activate a part of your brain you’ve never used before. They place one question across your mind – “How will I succeed and prove myself right?”
The naysayers aren’t right. They’re just opinions from people who most likely don’t hold importance in your life. You’re probably not even doing anything wrong. But people root for your failure, because then you’re at a level closer to where they are. Don’t stoop to their levels by not moving forward. Forward movement is everything.
Critics don’t need to bring you down. They may keep you awake, busy, or uneasy, but they shouldn’t be something that make you collapse toward your journey. Instead, they should motivate you to jump out of bed in the morning and create change. Motivation that makes you to work harder than you ever have before.
Here are 4 reasons of why you should embrace them, and have them become your motivation:
Jealousy.
This is a word I can’t comprehend. Because, I’ve always been rooting for others to succeed and considered jealousy a form of hatred. But, the rest of the world doesn’t work that way. Most of the time, they’re not criticizing something you did, they’re just jealous. They also want to get their feet off the ground but when they can’t, they bring you down with negative energy. People always want what you can’t have.
When people can’t empower themselves, they look to detract it from others.
Ignition.
When you receive criticism from others, it’s going to provoke a response in you. At this point, you have two options: bounce back, or bounce backwards. That decision is up to you.
As they say, you can only lead a horse to the water, but you can’t make it drink. Have the courage to bounce back. Your dreams are worth it. Words aren’t.
Response.
Never react to negativity, respond. Reactions are based on emotion, and most likely that isn’t going to be something you look at later and be proud of.
Actions are proven. They’re formulated, and have a meaning within. They’re something you can look back on and say, “Wow, I did this in spite of all this negative chaos.”
Defy The Odds.
Even if these “odds” were the words of negativity, the luxury of not having to say “I told you so” is the greatest gift of all, because success will say that for you.
Prove them wrong, empower yourself. The journey never was supposed to be easy, just worth it.
