The amount of suffering in this world is unimaginable, and children (and with them our future) are the most vulnerable victims of crime and outright atrocity. In this day and age, child labor, child sex trafficking and abuse still are the gruesome reality of too many countries. These children are robbed of their childhood and, too often, of any chance for a better tomorrow.
Closing your eyes on this misery is just as good (or bad, for that matter) as soliciting these crimes against the future that we all share. As the famous quote goes, “Do not fear your enemies. The worst they can do is kill you. Do not fear friends. At worst, they may betray you. Fear those who do not care; they neither kill nor betray, but betrayal and murder exist because of their silent consent.”
How Gurbaksh Chahal Brought about these Changes
Gurbaksh Chahal, a famous businessman and philanthropist, is one of those rare people who do care. Doing good and bringing about change is the major driving force for Gurbaksh, his motivation and inspiration.
All the money in the world cannot buy you peace of mind if you cannot quiet down that voice in your head that reminds you constantly about the amount of injustice and suffering in this world. On the other hand, proactive participation in redressing the wrong will help you grow as a person.
You don’t have to aim too high right from the start: you won’t be able to change the world at the drop of a hat, and seeing no visible results may discourage you too soon. However, this shouldn’t stop you, and if you can dream big, dream big! Ambition is as important in philanthropy as it is in business: it both helps you raise the bar and keeps you going when everything is against you. Be ambitious in everything you do. It is the ‘muscle’ that cannot be over exercised.
Gurbaksh Chahal aims high: he created a non-profit organization, The Chahal Foundation, whose goal is to eradicate abuse in the underprivileged societies. And it is looking for superheroes to save children in need!
One Small Step for Man, One Giant Leap for Mankind
This is yet another well-known quote, but you do not need to go to the moon to make that small step that will change forever the future of our children. Every day dozens, hundreds of children are sold into slavery, and it takes a lot of time, effort and dedication to bring them back to normal life. Law enforcement personnel all over the world perform rescue raids to safeguard those involved in sex trafficking, and since 2016 The Chahal Foundation has joined this fight.
Gurbaksh Chahal was personally involved in one of such covert operations; unfortunately, it was unsuccessful.
Each operation costs dozens of thousands of dollars and places a heavy burden on the very limited budget: it is not a secret that this plague mostly (though not exclusively) affects the poorest countries. The numbers are frightening: every year more that six million children become victims of sex traffickers. Six million lives; six million dreams that will never come true. Many of them can still be saved; many more crimes can be prevented. Your donation may save lives and bring about hope stolen from these children.
Be a Superhero: Join the Fight to Save Children from Slavery
Indifference kills. Every human soul is a universe waiting to be explored; regrettably, too many of them are lost to human greed, vice, and poverty.
The Chahal Foundation supports law enforcement teams that perform rescue raids and encourages you not to close your eyes on this fight. Gurbaksh Chahal launched a program #BEASUPERHERO that allows you to become part of this joined effort to save children from slavery and give them another chance. Your donation can make all the difference in the world: don’t hesitate to bring good change for a better future of us all. That’s what superheroes do.
