Nine Reasons Why You’re Not Successful, Yet.

Nine Reasons Why You’re Not Successful, Yet.

As you breathe right now, another person takes their last, so stop complaining and learn to live your life with what you have.
Stop the Why him/her syndrome?
Every time some big success story happens, too many people complain about why him, or why her? Like almost as if it was all pure luck. I’m not talking about winning the lottery. But, I’m talking about real success stories. You have no right to judge someone’s journey, as you do not know the pain they went through to get there. So, instead of asking, Why not me? Do something about why you aren’t doing something in your life.
Be your biggest competition.
There is an Old African proverb that says, “When there is no enemy within, the enemies outside cannot hurt you.” That means you are your biggest competitor. Keep on Innovating or Die. That is the name of the game. You either step up, bring your playbook and then execute. Because, when you’re not doing anything – no one wants to compete with losers.
Stop reading the headlines.
Stop reading the headlines for success, be your own headline. Yes, YouTube got bought for over $1 billion in less than a year. And, yes Instagram got bought for close to $1 billion in less than 18 months. Don’t think you can create a copycat and sell it just like they did. Innovation and Disruption cannot be mimicked; they can only be realized by pure ambition. So, create your own path, your own disruption and let the market place decide.
Stop criticizing others.
You have no idea what their journey is about. As a society, we now have social media where it’s become a free-for-all to judge someone if they may have done something wrong. You’re quick to read the 140 characters in a tweet and you stereotype and jump to conclusions of hatred. Why put your energy toward that? Do you really think your tweet or YouTube messages are going to create a revolution? It’s not. It’s just precluding you from attaining happiness and success. Stop criticizing others and start realizing what you have to do in your life.
Fail fast. Rebound stronger.
Sometimes the journey you were on, failed. But that just means the journey you were intended to be on is waiting for you to figure itself out. Only you can decipher it. Look inside your intuition for that message and build something even more powerful. That is when you find out the meaning of destiny.
Stop obsessing on things that will have no impact in your life.
There was a study showing that said more Americans knew about the Miley Cyrus controversy, than what’s going on in Syria right now. Obsessing your time on reality shows or celebrities’ lives – won’t give you a path toward success. It will just suck your time away from it.
Make your dreams big.
Make your dreams big enough, because there is nothing to be afraid of. Small dreams are made for people who have insecurities inside their core. Ignite that ambition, ignite that fire, and you will prevail.
Stop being a pessimist.
The sky is not falling. Pigs aren’t flying either. Too many people make excuses with the words, “I can’t” or “I don’t know what to do.” Start, every idea with one question, “What If…” and you’ll be surprised where your vision leads you.
Don’t be evil.
Evil resides as part of humanity. It’s a Pandora’s box and just depends on who decides to open it. Keep life positive and don’t cater toward it, it will be the only thing that makes you happy. Karma has a weird of showing up and you don’t want that to bite you in the ass when you least expect it. Believe me, it does show up.
Lastly, if you want something, you go get it. Let no one stop you. Don’t waste any of the 86,400 seconds that God gives you each day to make your dreams a reality.
As a wise man once said, “First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, and then you win.”
