The only vulnerabilities or insecurities you should have, are those you don’t want to become.
This morning, I want you to take a moment, and look inside a mirror. Take a good look at yourself. What do you see? What emotions do you experience? What do you think? How do you feel?
When you see yourself, your mind will take you on a journey and start to think all the features that bother you. The little things that take up your time. The thoughts, emotions, and feelings that consume you. That’s negative energy precluding your happiness.
Maybe not. Maybe you will think of the things you have to do today, things you have to do next week, the tough situations you’re in; all with a bad outcome. They’re all insecurities. A lack of confidence, and a field of vulnerabilities.
“Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about.”
The energy you just focused on having those negative thoughts, feelings, emotions, opportunities, situations; they’re now bound to have a bad outcome. But, what if you realized you are the only person affected by your own thoughts and their outcomes? Why wouldn’t you change them?
Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That’s why it’s called the present. Cherish it.
“Miracles are just a shift in perception from fear to love.”
Insecurities are just emotions we invoke within ourselves; because we think we’re not good enough. We wire ourselves to think others are better than us.
But why do we think this way, rather than exude positivity? Rather than to focus? Rather than to devote 100% of our lives to be better people? Ask yourself, and force change upon your thoughts. It doesn’t matter if the glass is half empty or half full; the only thing that matters is that you have a glass and you’re responsible for what you pour into it.
So next time you look inside that mirror, don’t look at physical attributes. Don’t consume yourself with negative thoughts, unhappy emotions or events leading to failure. Don’t think of situations you’re in with a negative outcome.
Instead, look in the mirror and realize that the only vulnerabilities, and the only insecurities you should have, are the things you don’t want to become.
Some call this a miracle within, but ultimately this is what defines your happiness.
