Gurbaksh Chahal | The Most Important 86,400 seconds Of Your Life
If you expect the world to be fair with you because you are fair, you’re fooling yourself. That’s like expecting the lion not to eat you, because you didn’t eat him.
That’s why, live in such a way, that if someone spoke badly of you, no one would believe it.
Remember there are five simple things you can always control.
- Life’s Process. You may not control the outcomes, but you control the process each step of the way.
- Who you let into your life. Make sure everybody in your boat is rowing and not drilling holes when you’re not looking. Know your circle.
- Your work. We all get 86,400 seconds each day. Day after Day, to turn our pain into greatness.
- Your relationship with your family. The ones that gave birth to you and raised you, will always stand beside you.
- Your relationship with whatever higher power you believe in.
The only Seven Wonders of the World are: to see, to hear, to touch, to taste, to feel, to laugh, and to love.
It’s about pushing the boundaries not just your own, but of others.
It’s about creating, not just something you can see, but something the world can appreciate.
It’s about passion, that little feeling you get that gives you the will to never give up but succeed, even when the odds are stacked against you.
And, that’s why you shouldn’t ever trade your journey for someone else’s dream.
People are going to want you, need you, exceed you, take you, love you, hate you, play you, rate you, save you, and break you. But, at the end, that’s what’s going to make you.
Work for a cause, not for applause. Live life to express, not to impress. Don’t strive to make your presence noticed, just make your absence felt.
View challenging people as your assignment. Ask yourself. “What is this person meant to teach me?” Every person in our lives has a lesson to teach. Some lessons include: to become stronger, to be more communicative, to trust intuition, to be more self-loving, to know when to let go, and to be nothing like this person.
God gives us all a purpose. In these 86,400 seconds each day, it’s up to us to find it.
Its impossible, said pride. Its risky, said experience. Its pointless, said reason. Just do it, whispered the heart.
That’s why those who don’t believe in magic, will never find it.
Having a rough day? Place your hand over your heart. Feel that? That’s called purpose. You’re alive for a reason. Don’t give up.
As a wise person once said, “I hated every minute of training, but I said, don’t quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion.”
So, laugh when you can, apologize when you should, and let go of what you can’t change. Life’s too short to be anything but happy.
Life’s also too short to wake up with regrets. So, love the people who treat you right. Forget about the ones who don’t. And, believe – everything happens for a reason.
If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody, said life would be easy. They just promised – it would be worth it.
