On February 20th, 2014 I hosted another guest lecture at Pace University. A place that holds a very special place in my heart.
In 2008, I served as a keynote speaker at the 5th Annual Pace University Pitch Contest.
In 2009, I served as their Entrepreneur in Residence.
In 2010, I officially started the Gurbaksh Chahal Entrepreneurial Endowed Scholarship at Pace University.
And in April 2010, to my surprise I received the Leaders in Management Award from Pace Lubin School of Business and an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Commercial Science.
And throughout those years, I’ve always loved to be a surprise guest lecturer at Pace University.
During my lecture this time, I highlighted two areas first: Understanding Rejection & Happiness. I believe once your willing to accept rejection in your life – you understand all elements of fear. And that eventually drives you, toward your path to success. My second focus was to share my rules for happiness. Since, ultimately – that’s what life is about.
So, outside of writing my book, The Dream, my favorite piece of writing was a blog post I wrote in November last year called: The Happiness StartUp: Rules to Live By. I tried to re-read this post at least once a week as it humbles me toward even my goals in life today.
This was followed up by an hour of Q&A with the audience. You can see the entire YouTube video here.
I hope it inspires you all to reach your dreams.
