Risk is your best friend

Everything you ever wanted is on the other side of fear. 
“It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is the most adaptable to change.”
Darwin said it best and his quote resonates well for the way we conduct our choices in life.
Change. Unfamiliarity. Opportunity. Risk.
All four verbs bring out a common element in all of us – fear.
Whether it’s stage fright or we are given the opportunity to move across the country to begin a dream job with no familiar faces, most of us will become paralyzed with fear.
Change isn’t a favored term in the human vocabulary. It entails leaving what we have in our steady routine to explore the unknown and unfamiliar.
We are afraid to act on opportunity, because we are uncertain; we are blinded of the path ahead. Most of us would prefer the security of our already-proven static routines. They bring us financial support, and keep our families situated. We would rather stay with what we know, than risk that for something that may seem like just a dream.
But as kids, we were taught differently. We were told that it is only with change that we will grow into better people. Take a friendship for example. At first you may have been an introvert, then you got to know people, made a best-friend or two, next thing you know, you can’t live without them.
We can either choose to let our fear halt us, stop us, and create a roadblock. Or, we can use it as fuel to propel forward and achieve what no one else has.
Rather than seeking to conquer, we must learn how to act in spite of our fears. We must realize that no matter how much fear there is instilled in us, there is no reason to hold back from the risk of opportunity.
In life, fear is your worst enemy. And, risk is your best friend.
